Tennis Training: Using Half Court for Consistency

Great drill, especially if one player cannot run well that day, or loses more because of movement than skill.
Use half the court from the center hash mark to the doubles sideline (play once on deuce court and once on ad). Player A feeds in a short ball and remains at the baseline. Player B hits an approach shot and comes in. Play the point out. Play to 11, 15, or 21. Switch roles and do it again. Works on approach, quick reactions, and playing for depth / short shots rather than lateral movement. Forces both parties to use controlled aggression to win, even when playing the net.
